Steeped in Rich History
Festival Chai was born from a love of the rich and diverse flavours of chai tea.
Our founder, a lifelong tea enthusiast, sought to bring the authentic taste of traditional chai to the West Midlands. After over a year of refining and perfecting the recipe, Festival Chai was finally crafted, capturing the perfect balance of spices and sweetness.
Inspired by the colourful festivals that celebrate culture and community, Festival Chai embodies the spirit of joy and togetherness.
Also referred to as Masala Chai, the tea is thought to have originated over 5,000 years ago when an Indian King commissioned a spiced beverage for its healing properties.
This fusion of local spices was added to imported tea leaves by the British to create a unique and beloved drink that has since travelled globally.
